Carter, 90, of Venice, formerly of Mequon, Wis. died Nov. 16, 2011.Friends may greet the family at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, Mequon, Wis. on Friday, Nov. 25 from 2 p.m. to time of Memorial Services at 3 p.m. Beloved husband of the late Ruth McClain Carter. Arthur is survived by son David and daughter-in-law Carole of Pacific Palisades, Calif., son Scott and daughter-in-law Sandra of Oconomowoc, granddaughter Erin and her husband Joe vander Kooy, granddaughter Megan and her husband Cody Evans and great-granddaughter Carrington vander Kooy. Special friend and companion of Millie Docktor.Arthur was retired from Ameritech, now A T & T, after over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict and a member of the Venice Yacht Club in Venice, Florida.Memorials to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, 115 Broadway, Suite 1301, New York, NY 10006, would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
