SMITH, ARNOLDMarch 2, 1922 - May 23, 2012On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, Arnold Smith of the Echo Lodge, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK., formerly of Lipton, SK., beloved husband of Irene Smith, died at the age of 90 years. The funeral service will be held in the Lipton Evangelical Missionary Church, Lipton, SK., on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lyndon Cramer officiating. Interment in the Lipton Memorial Gardens. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Rosalia Schmidt; his step mother Nathel Dilke; an elder brother in infancy as well as brothers: William Schmidt, Jack Schmidt, John Smith, Edward Smith; sisters-in-law: Charlotte Schmidt, Ruth Schmidt, Elsie Schmidt, and Violet Smith. Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Irene; three children: Linda (Roger) Miller, Lipton and their son and daughter, Collin (Twila) Miller, Lipton and Andrea (Nick) Carmody, Phoenix AZ; Dorothy Powchuk and friend Scott McKinnon, Regina and her son and daughter Adam Powchuk and fiancée Elissa Hill, Rossland, B.C. and Amanda Powchuk of Regina; Randy (Leanne) Smith, Regina and their sons Dustin (Ashley) Smith, Regina and Jay Smith, Regina; great grandchildren: Connor and Makayla Miller, Laila Smith, Greyson and Emma Carmody; brothers: Ewald Schmidt, Leonard (Pat) Schmidt and Albert (Jan) Schmidt; sisters-in- law Mary Smith and Ida Schmidt.
