Arlene Lyons, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in Livingston, N.J., after a two year battle with lung cancer. She was 72. Funeral services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. graveside on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at the West Lawn Cemetery, King Solomon Memorial Park Section, 550 Dwasline Rd., Clifton, NJ 07014, (973) 473-5646. The family will sit Shiva at the home of her son, Ricky, on Friday following the service, continuing on Sunday, Feb. 24, and Monday, Feb. 25. Formerly Arlene Kanter, she was born in Passaic, N.J., and retired to the sunny shores of Boynton Beach, Fla. Arlene is survived by her father, Louis Kanter; her siblings, Debbie, Betty, Allen and Karen; her daughter, Rachael Barnes and son-in-law, John Barnes; her son, Ricky Bagolie and daughter-in-law, Rosaura Bagolie, and grandsons, Frank, Jacob, and Aaron, as well as her prized pet shih tzu, Clancy, whom she rescued from a local animal shelter.
