PERRI, Antonio - The Perri family announces with great sadness that their father passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at the age of 83. He is reunited with his beloved wife Saverina who passed away in June of this year. Dear father of Joe (Fran), Virginia Neufeld (Larry), Louie (Sylvia), Frank (Lynn), and Mary Lou Tornabuono (Joe). He will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Anthony, Erin, Meaghan, Alexandra, Jordan, Laura, Andrea, Isabella, and Sabrina. He is survived by his sister Theresa Serianni, sister-in-law Milla Perri, and brother-in-law Angelino Esposito (Luigina) in Italy. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Guiseppina and Virginia Esposito, and his nieces and nephews. Born in Casaneva, Decollatura, Italy, Antonio came to Canada in 1952. Two years later, his wife and two young children joined him. Initially, he worked at many jobs, including the construction of the Welland Hospital, to support his family. Later, he was employed with Page Hersey for 32 years until his retirement in 1988. His greatest pleasures in life were spending time with his family and tending his vegetable garden. Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence 19 Young Street, Welland on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a Vigil will be held at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock.
