ObituaryAnthony Simone, 87, of Cape Coral died September 5, 2009. He was born August 28, 1922 in Italy to Loreto and Louisa Simone. He served his country honorably with the US Army during WW II. "Tony" married Nicolina Iezzi in 1949 in Montreal, Canada. He lived in West Chester County, NY for many years where he owned and operated Tony's Auto Body. He retired in 1984 and moved to Cape Coral in 1986. Tony was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral. His family includes his wife of 60 years, Nicolina, one sister Concetta and husband Ernie Bordon of Naples, FL, brother and sisters-in-law Albert Joseph and Helene Iezzi and Tony and Diane Iezzi all of Quebec, three nephews Janice, Anthony and Ernie, sister-in-law Yoland and Phillip Rouleau of Montreal and Jeanette Simone of New York. He was preceded in death by his brother Joe. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11;00AM Wednesday, September 9th, 2009 at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. Viewing will take place Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 with a scripture wake service to held at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
