WILLIAMS, Annie Maudie Irene (nee Norman) June 11, 1913 - January 8, 2012 Maudie (Mom/Grandma) passed away peacefully in her 99th year. Predeceased by her beloved Husband of 50 years Evan Morgan Williams, sister Alice; brothers, Sam, Percy, and Russell. She is survived by her brother Bert Norman. Maudie will be greatly missed by her children, Valerie, David, Jim (Linda), Wayne (Janet); and grandchildren Robert, Stephen, Kevin, Kelly, Melissa, Tyler, Shayne, Brittany and Cathy-Lee; great-grandchildren Gavin, Anna, Adian, Leah, Lukas, Ainsley, Lily, and Scott. Mom was born and raised in Vancouver and received her Royal Academy of Music Certification in 1931. Mom married the love of her life Morgan in 1939. During the war they lived in Victoria where dad was stationed. After the War, they moved to North Burnaby and built the house on East Hastings Street where they raised their 4 children. Mom taught piano from home for 25 years and is fondly remembered by her many students for her kindness and dedication. Upon retirement Mom and Dad moved to North Delta where she discovered a love of painting and lawn bowling. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years traveling BC in their trusty orange Volkswagen Beatle visiting their many family and friends. Mom's peaceful demeanor and ever-present smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. Wendy Chin for her caring attention and are especially grateful for the loving care given to Mom by the staff of the Residence at Morgan Heights. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 15, 2012 at the Northview Golf Club on 168th Street in Surrey from 1 to 4pm. A private gravesite service will take place at a later date.
