Annie-Mae Jones, daughter of Leonard and Mae, died on August 25, 2007.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forrest Cemetery for Ms. Annie Mae Jones, 93, of Rainbow City, who died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007. The Rev. Elton Beasley will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.Ms. Jones was a native of St. Clair County and a longtime resident of Etowah County. She was a member of Gadsden First United Methodist Church, Fifty Five Plus Club, the Exercise Group and retired as a dental hygienist. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mae Nelson and sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Frances Penfield, Elizabeth Lawrence and Jane Sanford.She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Bobby) Sims, Rainbow City; niece, Susan Sanford, Prattville; nephews, Allen (Barbara) Sanford, Prattville, David Penfield, Minnesota and Roger Penfield, Knoxville, Tenn.The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Gadsden First United Methodist Church.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jean Payne, Signature In Home Health Care, Alacare Home Health and the 4th hall nurses and staff at McGuffey Health Care Center.There will be visitation tonight from 6 to 8 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
