JONES Annie Mae Jones, 97, died peacefully on Thursday, May 5, 2005. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, Mrs. Jones grew up in Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mabel Harrison; her son, Robert L. Jones; and her husband of 73 years, H. Lester Jones. Survivors include her daughter, Ann K. Jones; her sister, Rhoda Ingram; a daughter-in-law, Johnella Jones; four granddaughters and their husbands, Katherine and Gresham Stoneburner, Ann and William Cranford, Margaret Reid (Reidy) and William Boyd, and Elizabeth and Lee Wimberley; and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2005, at Avondale United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Jones was a founding member. The Reverends Richard Petry and Jennifer Stiles Williams will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avondale United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
