Annie Golden Williams Annie Golden Williams, 90, a retired secretary, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oak City Cemetery in Bainbridge, Ga., with Dr. Charles Knight officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or to a favorite charity.Cox Funeral Home of Bainbridge (229-248-4411) is handling arrangements. Annie Golden was born in Bainbridge on March 13, 1915, the daughter of Josiah and India Moore Renfroe. Early in her life, the family moved to Tallahassee, where she graduated from Leon High School and pursued an education in business.She was employed by the Florida Forest Service in Tallahassee. She and George B. Williams were married Sept. 2, 1937, and enjoyed a long life of 67 years together. Her husband's work in forestry gave them the opportunity to live in Valdosta, Ga., Jacksonville and Flagler Beach. They were members of Riverside Park Methodist Church in Jacksonville, where she served in leadership positions.She was also active in a garden club and the Friday Morning Musicale. She and her husband moved to Tallahassee in 2000. She is survived by a sister, Elsie R. Knight (and husband Charles) of Atlanta; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Renfroe of Tallahassee; eight nieces, Carole R. Beal of Blue Hill, Maine, Betty Kane (and husband Jack) of Tallahassee, Lucy Littleton (and husband Taylor), of Auburn, Ala., Harriet McIntyre of Monroe, Mich., Betty Vecchione (and husband Tony) of Natick, Mass., Dorothy Starbird of Sequim, Wash., Mary Williams of Thomaston, Ga., and Kate Hemer (and husband Roger) of Seattle; five nephews, Charlie W. Knight (and wife Reva) of Clayton, Ga., Malcolm Renfroe Knight (and wife Cathy) of Loganville, Ga., Larry Renfroe (and wife Sandy) of Tallahassee, Steve Williams (and wife Ilona) of Edgewater, Md., and Frank Williams (and wife Elaine) of Hernando; and 23 great- nieces and nephews.She is also survived by her loving caregivers, Wendy Lee and her family and Monica James. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and her brother, Lawrence W. Renfroe.
