DAKENS, Annie Frances (nee Martin) - Annie Frances Dakens (age 83) passed away Sunday September 23, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved wife of Robert B. Dakens, loving mother of Robert Jr. (deceased), Helen (Don) Bartlett, Leslie (Mary - Jane) and Ann Lizotte. Cherished grandmother of Duane and Jason and great grandmother of eight. Predeceased by both her parents, Leslie and Matilda Martin, she is survived by her sisters Theresa Martin of Kitchener, Veronica O'Neill of N.S., Dolly (predeceased), Shirley McMullen of N.S., Diane Martel of N.S., and predeceased by her three brothers Gerald, Garnet and Harvey. A longtime resident of our community Annie will truly be missed by numerous friends and relatives. There is going to be a gathering of friends Wednesday September 26, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., with a service at 11:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion and interment in Woodland Cemetery to follow.
