JOHNSON Annie Bernice Johnson, age 75, a resident of Stamford, for more than 50 years died on Thursday, March 4, 2004, at St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport. She was born in Cedar Grove, N.C., on May 7, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Johnson and Hannah Green Johnson. She was the widow of Elwood Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was employed as a cook, she was with the Exxon Corp. and Flick Co. for five years. She was a member of Miracle Faith World Outreach of Monroe. Survivors include three daughters, Faye D. Harris, Beverly A. Johnson and Wendy Johnson, all of Bridgeport; two brothers, James Thompson of Hillsboro, N.C., and Louis Thompson of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Vera Watts of Hillsboro, N.C., Lillie Warren of Hillsboro, N.C., and Elsie Bins of Bronx, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Tatarsha Harris of Orange, N.J.; one uncle, Cleo Green of Norfolk, Va. She was predeceased by three brothers, Marvin Thompson, Chester Thompson and Ervin Thompson. Calling hours are on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at 10 to 11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church, 1050 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in the church with the Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Avenue, is in charge of arrangements.
