SMITH, Anne McAlpine August 7, 1915 March 3, 2008 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne on Monday, March 3, 2008. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband Andrew, daughter Margaret (Jim Bigrigg), granddaughter Anne-Marie. Anne was born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland and she was extremely proud of her Scottish heritage. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a lovely little Scottish lady with a warm smile and quick wit. Anne came to Victoria on May 25, 1951 and enjoyed her life here. She volunteered for many years with the Red Cross, walking to and from her assignment. Anne and Andrew had many exciting "Princess Cruises " which took them all over the world. And of course, the many trips back to the 'auld country' to visit family and friends in Scotland. Anne and Andrew were an adorable couple on the dance floor. It was a pleasure to watch them move around the floor. We wish to thank all the staff at Mt. Tolmie Hospital for their care of Anne these past few years. Funeral arrangements by McCall Bros., 1400 Vancouver Street, Victoria, BC. Memorial service to be held on Monday, March 10th, at 2:00 P.M., with a tea to follow in McCall's Family Center. Flowers gratefully declined. Those wishing to, may make a donation to the ElderCare Foundation, 1454 Hillside Ave., Victoria, BC, V8T 2B7 and please mark your cheque "FOR MT. TOLMIE ONLY ". 450073
