Obituary of Anne-Marie Mackenzie

MACKENZIE, Anne Marie Of North Vancouver, B.C. Born May 03, 1929 at VGH, left us on October 05, 2010. Anne was predeceased by her parents, George and Eliza Mackenzie, her sister Flora (James) Casano. Survived by her sister Georgia Mackenzie and nephew Scott Casano. Anne became a legal secretary for the Vancouver law firm of W.C. Thompson, then to the law firm of Roy Long and Associates as a paralegal. In 1955 she was offered a position from the Minister of Fisheries (James Sinclair) in Ottawa but gracefully declined as she was too much in love with Vancouver. Anne was also very active in the Federal Liberal Party. Many thanks to the staff at the Kiwanis Care Centre for the dedication and kindness for the years Anne was there, she will be missed dearly by all who knew her. No service by request.
