JONES, ANNE McRAE, 92Ocala-Anne McRae Jones, 92, of Belleview, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center following complications from hip surgery. Born November 9, 1921, in East Palatka, FL, she was the daughter of the Reverend Louis Earl McRae and Hattie Jane McRae. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. Jones of Belleview, her brothers Earl, Louis, John, Norman and Horace; and her sisters, Toy May, Nell, Christine and Grace. She is survived by her sister, Geraldine of Tallahassee, her sons, Lawton Tootle and Tim Tootle in New York City and her daughter Joann Walsh in Savannah, GA. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren, Sharon and Sean and her six great grandchildren in Savannah. Anne and her husband Bob Jones were active members in the Summerfield Baptist Church and participated in most church activities including the choir and teaching Sunday School. She was also active with the Postal Service Auxiliary in support of Bob's employment as a rural route mail carrier. Anne worked all her life as a secretary and bookkeeper, not retiring until her 80's from many years of employment for an Ocala legal firm. As much as she loved her work, her family always came first and was the constant recipient of her love, pride, and generosity. The memory of her loving manner and sincere interest in the welfare and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren will always be cherished. A viewing is scheduled on Thursday, March 6 from 10 -12 noon at Hiers Baxley Funeral Home in Belleview. Graveside services at Forest Lawn Cemetery presided over by the pastor of Summerfield Baptist Church will follow at 1:00 PM.
