AMHERST - Anne Irene (LaBranche) Morrison, 81, of Amherst passed away at home on Sept. 19, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Anne was born on Sept. 1, 1933 in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of Andrew Perley LaBranche and Mary Helen (Poirier) LaBranche.Anne was raised in Portsmouth. She married William J. Morrison at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard Chapel in 1951 and together they raised three children. She had been employed at Sanders Associates in Nashua, as a receiving clerk, and Permatach Diamond Tool in Milford. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada with her husband on their motorcycle. She loved working in her flower garden, watching birds in her yard and seeing her hummingbirds. She was very artistic; she owned and operated Anne's Ceramics in Amherst. Anne was a gentle, loving soul with a strong faith and was a communicant of St. John Neumann church in Merrimack.Anne is survived by her husband of 63 years, William J. Morrison of Amherst; a son, William J. Morrison and his wife Erika of Gilmanton; two daughters, Debora A. Nilsen and her husband Robert of Amherst, Helen A. Jensen and her husband Eric of Brookline; three grandchildren, Patrick Morrison, Christine Nilsen and Danielle Nilsen; two great grandchildren, Xavier and Alexis Morrison; a sister, Yvonne Johnson and her husband Albert of Greenland; many loving family members, nieces, nephews and friends.She was predeceased by four sisters, Marie Germaine LaLancette, Marie Annette Hilliard, Theresa Pauline LaRochelle and Cecile Mowrey; and one brother, Andrew P. LaBranche. . services: Friends may call on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 at the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm St., Milford from 6 to 8 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack. Burial will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.
