Anne Elliott Cannon, 69, Sarasota, died Jan. 18, 2006. She was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Jacksonville and came to Sarasota in 1972 from Atlanta. She retired in 1961 as a school teacher. She graduated from Florida State University and was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and First United Methodist Church in Sarasota. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Wimberly Pearson; a daughter, Kimberly Browder of Nashville, Tenn.; a son, Mark of Sarasota; a sister, Susan O'Brien of Conyers, Ga.; a brother, Ben Elliott of Birmingham, Ala.; and five grandchildren. A service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Sarasota. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, is in charge.
