ROGERS, Anne Elizabeth Cecilia Anne Elizabeth Cecilia Rogers, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away quietly on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Anne moved to Calgary with her family in 1966 and resided here until her death. She was a good friend to many and always glad to help anyone in need. Anne is remembered with love by three sons, Ken (Linda) and their children, Stephanie (Corey), Stephen and Geoffrey; Jim (Rita) and his children, Eric, Cara and Evan and their mother Margaret; Bob (Brenda) and their children, Paul and Kathryn; and her daughter Elizabeth (Detlev) and their children, Heather and Janet. Anne is also lovingly remembered by her sister Irene (Barry) of Winnipeg. Anne was predeceased by her husband John in 1975. Anne was a particularly loving and generous grandmother and her grandchildren will dearly miss her shortbread, date filled cookies and wonderful homemade bread. The family would like to thank Dr. T. Cran and the staff at Carewest Royal Park for their compassionate care and special kindness. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 1102 - 23 Avenue N.W., on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend David B. Vincent officiating. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Anne's memory to the Alberta Children's Hospital at No. 300, 1021 - 10 Avenue S.W., Calgary, T2R 0B7.
