ANNE COLINS (NEE CRISAN) HIGHLAND, IN Anne Colins (nee Crisan), age 91, of Highland, passed away Monday, February 16, 2009. She is survived by two daughters: Janice (Thomas) Konkoly of Munster and Linda (Dr. Reinhard) Lauterbach of Florida; sister, Joann Dragoin of Hammond; two beloved grandsons: Steven Thomas (Kathleen) Konkoly of Scarborough, ME and Ralph Richard Konkoly of Munster; and two beloved great grandchildren: Matthew and Sophia Konkoly of Scarborough, ME. Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Richard Colins. Anne was a member of the Woodmar Country Club Golf and Bowling League for many years. She was an assistant troop leader for the Girl Scouts of the Calumet Council. Anne was a friend of the Highland Library, was an avid reader and gardener, a wonderful cook, knitter and seamstress. She loved children and was a friend of all the children in her neighborhood. Anne was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She will be truly missed by all her friends and family whose lives she touched with her love and kindness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calumet Council of Girl Scouts or a charity of your choice.
