Obituary of Anne-C. Gaston-Boys


Anne C. Gaston-Boys died at Hackettstown Community Hospital on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, after a short illness. She was 93. Arrangements are by Bailey Funeral Home, 176 Main St., Peapack, N.J. 07977, (908) 234-0590 , www.baileyfuneralhomes.com. Private graveside services for the family will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Somerville Cemetery in Somerville, N.J., with the Rev. Kent Wally officiating. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., to the late Leigh and Gladys Chandler on April 25, 1918, Mrs. Gaston was a resident of Heath Village in Washington Township, N.J., for the past five years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Gaston was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Peapack-Gladstone for many years. She enjoyed riding, supporting the NJSPCA. She was a former member of the Spring Valley Hunt & the Far Hills Hunt, the Bay Head Yacht Club, and the Junior League of Morristown. Mrs. Gaston was predeceased by her husband, John G. Gaston II. She is survived by her husband, Tom Boys; four sons, Peter D. Nichols of Massachusetts, Bruce M. Nichols of New Zealand, John G. Gaston of Florida, and Leigh G. Punj of India; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NJSPCA, 1119 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, N.J. 08901.
