Anne C. Carey, 92, of Rotterdam, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Ellis Hospital. Anne was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. She relocated to Schenectady in 1965 and worked for several years as a stenographer for New York State. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles J. Carey, who died in 1997; her parents, Eugene and Madeline Armstrong Hudome; and three brothers, Eugene F. Hudome, Eugene J. Hudome and Francis J. Hudome. She is survived by five children, William B. Carey of Saratoga, Charles J. (Meg) Carey, Jr. of Pennsauken, NJ, Eugene F. Carey also of Pennsauken, NJ, Edward F. (Jill) Carey of Ball- ston Spa and Madelyn A. (Charles W.) Thorne of Schenectady; two sisters, Madelyn Roberts and Jeanette Quigley; 14 grandchildren, Jeffrey Carey, Andrew Carey, Charles Carey III, Scott Carey, Kevin Carey, Robert Carey, William Carey Jr., Matthew Carey, Michael Carey, Edward Carey Jr., Gene Carey, Elizabeth Ebbecke, Alison Thorne and Jessica Kuftiak; and two great-granddaughters, Emily Carey and Alexa Mooney. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 o'clock Friday morning, at St. Gabriel's Church, Hamburg St., Rotterdam. There will be no calling hours. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
