Anne Burke a life long resident of West Haverstraw, died Thursday November 29, 2001 at her home, she was 94. Anne was born at home in West Haverstraw on January 5, 1907 to Patrick and Bertha (Bell) Burke. Anne was a past member and treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Volunteer Hose Company #2 West Haverstraw and a member of St. Peters Church. Her niece Elizabeth Jones of Stony Point, Leona Dowd of Canastota, New York and Lorraine Proccopio of Pomona survive Anne. She is predeceased by her brother William Burke and sister Bertha Ossman. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, Haverstraw. Anne's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in St. Peters Church, Burial to follow in St. Peters Cemetery.
