BROWN _ Annabel Mary Wimbush b. April 22, 1952 d. November 22, 2005 After a valiant fight with the cancer that claimed her precious brother Robin not quite two years ago, Annabel was tragically taken from us Tuesday, November 22, 2005. She leaves behind her devoted husband Jim and beloved sons Jeremy and Timothy, mother Janet, sister Erica (Daniel, Ruby, and Megan), sister-in-law Grethe (Georgina and Louisa), and Jim's cousin Georgia who was at her side as well during the final hours. It is so very difficult to make any sense of why this should happen to such a wonderful human being that I have been so privileged, honoured, and proud to have called my wife for almost 33 years. There has not been a day pass that I haven't thought how truly lucky I was, that she chose me to share a life together with. Although the last month or so was difficult, she was spared much of the pain and suffering that my mother endured and I am grateful for that; as well, we were all accorded the opportunity to share our thoughts, our hopes, and our dreams with each other and that perhaps allowed her to leave us knowing that we would all pull together as she would want and that we were surrounded by loving friends and family to help see us through. "Farewell, my Love - until we meet again." A memorial service will be held at St. David's United Church at 1525 Taylor Way in West Vancouver on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 12:00 pm, followed immediately thereafter by a reception at the Capilano Golf & Country Club at 420 Southborough Drive in West Vancouver BC. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation in the earnest hope that this may help someone else be spared would honour Annabel's memory above all else.
