Obituary of Anna-Walsh Carter

BEAUFORT, S.C. - Anna Walsh Carter, 78, wife of Loyd H. "Slim" Carter, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at the Medical University of South Carolina. ÊGraveside funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Augusta, Georgia. ÊMrs. Carter was born May 11, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of Norah Whyte Walsh and Joseph Walsh. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and formerly was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, North Augusta, South Carolina. Ê She was predeceased by three sisters and a brother. Surviving in addition to her husband of Beaufort are one son, Joseph L. Carter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and two grandchildren. ÊCopeland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
