Van De Wal, Anna May CASTLETON Anna May Reutzel Van De Wal, 79, of Castleton, peacefully passed away August 22, 2010, in her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Anna was the daughter of the late Frederick and Emma (Mossman) Reutzel. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 52 years, Walter H. Van De Wal earlier this year; her son, Walter H. Van De Wal Jr.; and four brothers, Edmund, Calvin, Robert and William Reutzel. Mrs. Van De Wal was a lifetime resident of Castleton. She retired from Sterling Winthrop in Rensselaer when they closed, serving them for over 30 years. Along with her husband, she was a houseparent for the former NYS Division of Youth and was also a member of the Castleton Senior Citizens. Survivors include two daughters, Maryann Tuite and her husband Kevin and Debra Smith and her husband Howard; two grand-daughters, Valerie and Hillary Tuite; and a brother, Frederick Reutzel. Calling hours will be at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y. from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 25, 2010.
