MANCHESTER -- Anna M. (La Fleur) Halle, 74, died March 13, 2008, at Elliot Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Concord on Aug. 10, 1933, the daughter of Donald and Gertrude (Stevens) La Fleur. She was educated in Concord schools and had lived in Concord and surrounding areas. She resided in Manchester the past 36 years. Mrs. Halle retired as a secretary from New Boston Tracking Station. She was an active fan with Manchester Monarchs Booster Club and also enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox. Mrs. Halle loved to travel, taking trips to Nova Scotia. IN HER LIFE: Members of her family include one daughter, Cynthia A. (Poole) Hinxman and her husband, Kurt, of Londonderry and Orlando, Fla.; one son, William Z. Celen and his wife, Barbara, of Allenstown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Smith and her husband, Gene, of California, and Idalyse Carpenter and her husband, John, of Vermont; one sister-in-law, Alberta La Fleur of Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and her special traveling companion, Kevin Marshall. Mrs. Halle was predeceased by her husband, George A. Halle, who died in 1997; two brothers, Daniel La Fleur and Donald La Fleur Jr.; and one sister, Harriet Goodwin. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial service is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street, Manchester. Burial will be at the family's convenience in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester.
