Anna-Katherine Henry, born in 1926, spouse of Reverend-Laurence Henry, daughter of David and Julia, mother of Okla, Melinda, Allen, Gail, Edgar, Junior, Steve, Suzette and Sandra, died on April 16, 2007 at 80 years old.
Anna Katherine Henry, 80, of Galena, Mo., passed away April 16, 2007, at 6 p.m. in her daughter's home, surrounded by family, after a two year battle with a rare blood disorder. She was born on June 19, 1926, in Elsey, Missouri, to David George and Julia Mabel Tucker Raymond. She was united in marriage to Reverend Laurence Henry on August 1, 1944, in Galena. By her husband's side they served in 17 different Baptist churches. She loved her little church, Galena Baptist Church in Galena. She loved to support missions and to teach little children about Jesus. The only thing she ever wanted for Christmas was for her five children to be in church. Her survivors include two daughters, Sandra Holland of Fair Grove, and Suzette Smith and husband, Steve, of Willard; three sons, Junior Henry and wife Judy of Ozark, Edgar Henry and wife, Gail, of Springfield, and Allen Henry and wife, Melinda, of Midill, Okla.; four sisters, Gladys Revis of Crane, Mo., Iva Ragain of Elsey, Mo., Lela Bowling of Oraville, Calif., Betty Henry and husband, Bill, of Hurley, Mo., and Barbara Holiday of Clever, Mo.; two brothers and their wives, Leo and Barbara Raymond of Burns, Ore., and Bill and Phyllis Raymond of Hurley, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Laurence Henry; two grandchildren, Shari Holland and Anthony Kent Davis; a sister, Retha Pendergrass; and three brothers, John, George and Dennis Raymond; and five siblings in infancy. All total there were seventeen children born to David and Julia. Viewing will be in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, Mo., on April 18, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The funeral services will be in the Galena Baptist Church, Galena, Mo., on April 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be in the Selmore Cemetery, Ozark, Mo. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Annie Armstrong Missions.
