HomemakerPOLK CITY -- Mrs. Anna Verner Davis of Polk City died of heart failure Monday (June 30, 2003) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 63.Born in Spokane, Wash., on Jan. 12, 1940, she came to Polk City from Marshall, Va., two years ago. She was a homemaker. She attended Colorado State University, and the University of Idaho. She was a member of Marshall United Methodist Church in Marshall, Va., where she was church treasurer and on the finance committee.Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Vernie Davis; sons, Ronald Earl Davis, Roanoke, Va., Steven Ray Davis, Austin, Texas; daughter, Karen Elaine Davis, Reston, Va.; brothers, Roger Verner, Clarkston, Wash., Jared Verner, Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren; one stepgrandchild.Memorial services will be held in Twin Falls, Idaho.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society, or a charity of your choice.
