Ann W. Carter, 87, of Bedford, N.H., formerly of New London, N.H., and Cohasset, Mass., peacefully on April 11, 2015. A talented artist and birder, she leaves her son, Joseph B. Walker of South Portland, Maine; daughters, Nancy D. Walker of Vancouver, BC, Canada, B. Todd Smyth of Aurora, Ore.; four stepchildren; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward D. Walen of Hamden, Conn.; his companion, Susan Haran of Alexandria, Va.; five nephews and two nieces. There will be a family gathering at a later date.
