Ann Stewart died at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home, Rutledge, TN on September 7, 2003. Her husband, George J. Stewart and brother, John Krell, precede her in death. She is survived by her sister Mary Steranka of Spring Valley, NY; her daughters and sons-in-law: Kathleen and Richard Sommerville of Bean Station, TN, Betty Jean and David Brooks of Stony Point; and her son George Stewart Jr. and his wife Louise of Monroe, NY. She has eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ann grew up in Spring Valley, NY and worked as a beautician for many years. Later she became an employee at Lederle Laboratories and then as a bus driver for the East Ramapo School District. She retired to Florida in the late 1980s and moved to Tennessee in 1999. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Thursday, with Funeral Services on Friday at 11 AM at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point and will be laid to rest at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
