Ann Nelson, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, NY died June 23, 2001. She was born and educated in Port Chester, NY to the late Adolph and Pauline Scherer Bohrer, and was the last surviving sibling of 12 children. She was the beloved wife of the late Myers "Jim" Nelson, and most dearly beloved mother of Carol Nelson of Greenwich, CT and Peggy Romanello and her husband, John of Port Chester, NY. Grandmother to the most cherished and loved grandson, Marc Romanello of Port Chester, NY. She is also survived by her niece, Pauline Stouter of Fishkill, NY and her 2 nephews, George and Ed Bohrer. Her greatest joy in life was her family and getting one more hug from her grandson who was the light ot her life. She has left behind a legacy of love and kindness. Her gentle strength, courage and grace will be dearly remembered by her family and friends. Visitatiion will be at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. today, Monday, June 25, 2001 from 5-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 10 am at the Our Lady of Mercy Church, Westchester Ave., Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY.
