Obituary of Ann-Marie Campbell


Campbell, Ann Marie COHOES Ann Marie Gaunay Campbell, 79, of Cohoes, died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at her home with her loving family surrounding her. Born in South Troy, daughter of the late William and Jennie Smith Gaunay, she resided in Troy until moving to Cohoes 33 years ago. A homemaker, she had been employed in the 1960s by the Bendix Corporation in Green Island. She was a member and past president of the Watervliet Lodge of Elks Auxiliary, a member of the Cohoes Moose Club and a former member of the Watervliet AOH. She is the beloved wife of 59 years of Gerald Campbell; loving mother of Gerald Campbell Jr. of Cohoes and the late Ann Marie Wilkinson; sister of Gerard (Bunny) Gaunay of Troy, Joan (late George) Vore of Rotterdam, Jane Gaunay of Middleburgh and the late John and William Gaunay. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grand-children; and her loyal companion, Misty Rose. Funeral services will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with Father John Tallman leading the services. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Boulevard, Rensselaer, NY 12144, in memory of Ann Marie Campbell.
