HOTTER, Ann M.Born in 1932 at Gillingham, Kent, England, passed away on February 12, 2016 in Vancouver, B.C. after a brave struggle against declining health. She was predeceased by her parents John William and Winifred Maud Hotter and brother Bruce in England, and by her deeply missed husband Cliff Rundgren. Ann obtained her Diploma of Physiotherapy at King''s College Hospital in London in 1953 and immigrated to Canada in late 1958. She graduated with her Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Manitoba in 1968 and worked for CARS (Canadian Arthritis & Rheumatism Society), at Vancouver General Hospital, and finally for Holy Family Hospital where she became Director of Physiotherapy. Ann and Cliff were married in 1983 and shared many happy years with their mutual interest in the natural world - outdoors, travelling and in the garden. Ann''s long-time interest in birds and plants led to her becoming a Master Gardener and volunteer Guide at the VanDusen Botanical Garden. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Valerie Hotter and nephew Mark in England, by Cliff''s sister Rhonda and other relatives, by her friends from work, from the Garden and from Wesbrook Tapestry. All are welcome to the Memorial Service at First Memorial Chapel, 602 Kingsway (& 15th), Vancouver, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, and are invited to the reception that will follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the B.C. Cancer Foundation or the VanDusen Botanical Garden Association.
