Obituary of Ann Gray


Ann Gray died June 13, 2002 at the SkyView Health Care Center in Croton-on-Hudson where she had been a resident since 1997. She was 91. Mrs.Gray was born on July 29, 1910 in Fintown, County Donegal, Ireland to Cormac and Rose Casbery Quinn. Mrs. Gray moved to Cortlandt Manor in 1994 from Glen Cove, LI where she had resided for ten years, prior to that she resided in Oyster Bay for 40 years and in Ireland until the early 1930's. She volunteered at the St. Christopher's Children's Home in Sea Cliff, LI for 25 years and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. In 1932, she married John Gray in New York City, he died on November 16, 1968. Mrs. Gray is survived by two daughters Roseann June Kobus of Daytona, FL and Esther May McNally of Cortlandt Manor, two sisters Kitty and Madge Quinn both of Ireland, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers and nine sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Monday at St. Columbanus Church, interment will follow at the Long Island National Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, 313 No. James St., Peekskill on Sunday from 2-4 only.
