<!-- FH = BLOUNT & CURRY FUNERAL HOME-MACDILL --><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->ADAMS, Ann Elizabeth (Day) 51, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, March 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Joseph E. and Elizabeth Ann (Hines) Day on May 17, 1962 in Washington, DC. She grew up and attended schools in Cedar Rapids, IA. Ann attended the University of Northern Colorado where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. In 1984, Ann moved to Tampa to begin her career as a commercial real estate leasing manager with Taylor and Mathis, Inc. On Nov. 23, 1991, Ann married the love of her life, Alton Augustus Adams III, in a ceremony at Jekyll Island, GA. Ann and Al were best friends and inseparable for the rest of her life. On Oct. 14, 1999, the couple welcomed their son, Alton. Al, Ann and Alton traveled extensively, including Ann's last dream vacation, a trip to Rome to see Pope Francis. Ann was an avid golfer, and shared her life with her closest friends. Ann is survived by her husband, Al; her son, Alton; at home, her father, Joseph (Andrea Chapman) Day, Cedar Rapids, IA; and sister, Ellen (Steve LeRoy) Day, of Tallahassee. She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, and her maternal aunt and uncle. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15, at 10:30 am, at Christ The King Catholic Church, with a reception to follow at the church.
