Ann McCutcheon Beals, Feb. 27, 1920 -- March 11, 2006. The one who loved us most on all the earth has died, and passed into perfect freedom with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Ann was a ferocious reader, Roman Catholic, friend, mother and grandmother. The heart of her life were these things; Be kind, for everyone is fighting a great battle; and most important, I have loved, and been loved. All the rest is background noise. Her family and friends remain enfolded in her love; sons, John Michael Beals and Christopher Morton Beals; daughter-in-law, Jayne Smith Beals; daughter, Catherine Anne Champion; grandchildren, Mara Kristen Champion Pierce, Jonathan Luke Beals, Rachel Moriah Beals, Matthew Timothy Beals; and lifelong friends who shared a lifetime of joy and sorrow, Lois Lingren, Helen Setzler and Margaret Smythe. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Beals, 105A Fairway Oaks Lane, Easley, S.C. Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.
