1929-2014 PICO RIVERA, Calif. - Anita (Huard) Michaud, 84, died Jan. 23, 2014. She was born in Winslow on March 24, 1929, the daughter of Louis and Helen (Turgeon) Huard. She was raised in Winslow and educated in the Winslow school system. Anita married Rodney Michaud, the son of Ozime and Vietta Michaud. Anita was employed locally by the Lockwood and Dutchess cotton mill and she worked there until she moved to Los Angeles in 1957 with her husband, Rodney, and two sons, James and John. Anita's legacy continues through the lives of her three sons, James and his wife, Lucy, John and his wife ,Val, and Jeff; and her six grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, James, Natalie, Monica and Joseph. She is also survived by sisters Germaine (Huard) Mathieu, of Waterville, and Elizabeth (Huard) Withee and her husband, Harold, of Winslow; brothers Leonel and his wife, Angela, and Louis Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Winslow, Wallace and his wife, Lillie, of La Habra, Calif., Gerald and his wife, Gladys, of Palm Springs, Calif., and Joseph, of Cathedral City, Calif. A spring burial will be held in May at the family lot in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville. Funeral services were held at St. Marianna Catholic Church in Pico Rivera.
