Anita Marie (Garneau) Michaud ROLLINSFORD - Anita Marie, 84, daughter of the late Adelard and Merilda (Croteau) Garneau, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2014, after a fearless fight to recover from complications following a stroke earlier in May, 2014. She touched many lives and always had time for anyone who needed her. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit. Anita was born in Lyndonville, Vermont in 1930 and raised in Rollinsford. In 1950, she married Alphonse "Tee" Michaud of Sanford, Maine. In 1956, they moved their young family to Sunnyvale, California. She retired from Hewlett Packard after 30 years before returning to Rollinsford in 1986 with Alphonse, where they started their lives together until his death in 1990. She was a faithful communicant at St. Mary's Church in Rollinsford and took pride in her family and home; she loved dancing with Alphonse, the beach, entertaining, reading, jigsaw puzzles, was an avid Red Sox Fan, and had a consummate green-thumb. She was a loving mother and is survived by her three devoted children, Marlene Michaud of Rollinsford; Richard Michaud (Diane Pierce) of Atwater, California; Jeannie Michaud Futrell of San Jose, California; two granddaughters, Bianca Michaud Futrell of San Jose, California; Brenda Michaud Gary (Shayne Gary) of Australia, and one great granddaughter, Olivia Gary of Australia. She is also survived by one sister, Paulette Mitchell, and brothers Robert Garneau and Maurice (Pete) Garneau. Anita is predeceased by brothers, Marcel, Gerard, and Paul (Tiger), and sister, Marlene Lapanne. Callings hours are Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Rollinsford, NH with the burial to follow at New Town Cemetery in Rollinsford.
