Obituary of Anita-Elizabeth Rogers


MYETTE, Anita Elizabeth-91, Tracadie, Antigonish Co., passed away January 6, 2003, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born March 5, 1911, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Rogers (Heatherton). She was the last surviving member of her imêmediate family. Before her retirement, she was employed by the Oasis Motel, Dingle Motel, and Claymore Inn, Antigonish. She is survived by sons, Bill (Agnes), Lochaber Road; George, Pomquet; John (Jeanette), Ontario; Donald (Peggy), Tracadie; daughters, Shirley (Francis) DeCoste, Tracadie; Rose (Eddie) DeCoste, Halifax; Gladys (Louie) Benoit, Pomquet; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lavin; son, Chester and a son in infancy; daughter-in-law, Mary Myette; three grandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Place, Tracadie. Funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Church, Tracadie, Rev. John Barry officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch. Arrangements entrusted to C.L. Curry Funeral Home, Antigonish.
