Anita Francis (Perreault) Castonguay1935 - 2015FARMINGTON - Anita Francis (Perreault) Castonguay, 79, died Thursday, January 8th, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 24, 1935 to Aime Perreault and Aurore "Laura" (Simard) Perreault and resided in Jay most of her life. She was employed by Hannaford for nine years. On May 5, 1956, she married Rene Castonguay. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, and will be greatly missed by all. Anita enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing crossword puzzles and bird watching. Her greatest pleasure was working in her beautiful flower gardens that were admired by everyone in her neighborhood. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years, Rene Castonguay; daughters, Sharon Costello and her husband Jerry of Mount Vernon, Sheila Yates and her husband Jeffrey of Wilton, Lorelei Purrington and her husband Ross of Jay, and her son Alan Castonguay and his wife Wendy of Livermore; grandchildren, Craig Coolidge and his partner Amy of Rockland, Mandi Howard and her husband Eric of Readfield, Chet Coolidge and his wife Lindsay of Wilton, Celina Marden and her husband Brad of Portland, Heidi Bouchard and her husband Ryan of Kittery and Michael and Travis Castonguay of Livermore. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Easton Howard, Cody Coolidge and Baby Marden who is due at the end of January; brothers, Robert Perreault and his wife Jeannine, Roger Perreault and his wife Rae, Maurice Perreault and his wife Carol and one sister, Leanne Wood and her husband Barry all of Jay; along with nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Franklin Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care and support given to Anita and her family. Also a special thanks to Western Maine Family Health Center and to Home Care for Maine, especially Sara Couture for the wonderful care to Anita and her husband Rene while at home.
