Angela M. Tedesco, 76, of Roseland, N.J., formerly of Fairfield, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge, N.J. The funeral is Monday at 9 a.m. from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. The Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment is in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, N.J. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Send condolences to stellatofuneralhomes.com. Angela Madunio was born in Midland Park, N.J., and was raised in West Paterson, N.J. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Bonaventure High School in Paterson. She was married in 1957 to Nicholas Tedesco, her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years; he predeceased her in 2002. She was an active member of St. Thomas More Church. Angela was a CCD teacher, member of the choir, Rosary Society president, co-chairperson of the church fashion show, and a member of the Parish Council. Mrs. Tedesco and her husband were also on the Pre-Cana Team. Angela was a Cub Scout and Brownie leader for her children. Mrs. Tedesco was predeceased by her parents, Mary (nee Carozza) and Joseph Madunio and her sister, Josephine Javitz. She was a devoted mother to her children, Nicholas Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Totowa, N.J.; Michael and his wife, Kim, of Long Valley, N.J.; Maria and her husband, Thomas McGovern, of Roseland, N.J., and Michelle and her husband, Jim Moore, of Middletown, Del. She was the cherished grandmother of 10 whom she will vigilantly watch over from heaven, Christen and Stephen Sylvester, Michael Jr., Mark and Deanna Tedesco, Matthew, Christopher, and Meghan McGovern, and James Jr. and Caitlin Moore. Her greatest joy was cooking Sunday dinner for her family and baking holiday cookies. Angela Tedesco will be especially remembered for her unconditional love and devotion to her family, her extraordinary kindness, and her completely unique spirit, love of life, and sense of humor. She will be missed forever, but will live always in the hearts and minds of all who were blessed to know her, to love her and to be loved by her. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Angela's name to the Dominican Sisters of Caldwell, Development Office, One Ryerson Avenue, Caldwell, N.J. 07006, would be appreciated.
