Wilson, Andrew S.Dec. 3, 1968 - Jan. 7, 2013Andrew S. Wilson, 44, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Granite City, IL, died on Jan. 7, 2013. Funeral arrangements by: Packer Funeral Home.Scott was the son of David Marshall Wilson and Ellen A. (McMackin) Spencer. He attended Granite City High School and Rosary High School in St. Louis, MO. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow. He served as Captain on the Granite City Auxiliary Police Force. He most recently worked for Achieva Credit Union in Sarasota, FL. In 1998, Scott moved to Sarasota, FL., to work and to improve his health. He loved the ocean, fishing, horseback riding and a great steak. He loved to travel and visited many different countries. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and left behind many friends who had the good fortune of being part of Scott's life. Scott is survived by David M. Wilson, his father, and stepmother, Patricia Mathews of Sarasota, FL; Ellen McMackin Spencer, his mother, and stepfather, Gerald E. Spencer of Glen Carbon, I; Jon Wilson, his brother (Dr. Stacey Wilson) of St. Louis, MO, Paul Wilson, his brother (Carrie Wilson) of St. Louis, MO, many stepbrothers and stepsisters, nieces and nephews.Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Salem, IL on February 23, 2013. A Celebration of Scott's life will be held in Sarasota on January 19, 2013. Memorials in Scott's name may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Gulf Coast Diabetes Foundation.
