Mr. Andrew Joseph McDonald December 26, 1963 - January 6, 2009 - McDONALD, Andrew Joseph "AJ" It is with deep sadness the family mourns the sudden loss of Andrew Joseph McDonald "AJ", who passed away January 6, 2009. Born in Halifax on December 26, 1963, he was the son of the late Marie Claire Smith and Andrew Starrett McDonald, and grandson of the late Senator John A. McDonald. AJ was a devoted father and husband. He loved his daughter, Kayliegh with all of his heart. Family was important to him. His professionalism as a limousine driver earned him a dedicated clientele. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Marie (McDow); daughter, Kayliegh; son, Chad Morash; stepmother, Verna Cassista; stepbrother, Shawn Cassista; stepsisters, Cheryl Cassista, Patty Bayard (Gaylyn), Annette Brennon, and Sandra Cassista, and godchild, Melanie Hackett. Visitation will be today from 2-4 p.m., and from 7-9 p.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 320 Flying Cloud Dr., Cole Harbour. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church with Father Irek Bem officiating.
