Andrew James Scott, age 60, of Norwell, peacefully passed away, with his family by his side, on Monday, June 23, 2014, after a courageous battle with ALS. Born in Exeter, NH, Andy was raised in Lexington. He graduated from St. Lawrence University, University of Vermont and Columbia University, where he received his degree in Physical Therapy. Andy was a long-time Physical Therapist in Boston and on the South Shore, the last 13 years having worked at Norwell VNA and Hospice. He leaves his loving wife, Susan (Thomas) Scott of Norwell; beloved children Alexander Thomas Scott, Esq. of Washington, DC, Abigail Lindsey Scott, Nicholas James Scott and Harrison Colby Scott, all of Norwell; also survived by his parents, William and Marjorie Scott of Peabody; brother Jeffery Scott and his wife, Mary, of Amherst, NH, and sister Kathryn Scott and her life partner, Roger White, of Lexington. Andy leaves many extended family members, including cherished nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Services will be private.
