COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Andre "Andy" N. Trudeau, 81, of Columbus died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at Westminster Thurber Retirement Community Healthcare Center. He was the husband of Gwendolyn C. Trudeau, M.D. They were married 56 years. Born in Fairhaven, Mass., he was the son of the late William A. and Marie Lorenza (Patnaude) Trudeau. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Aleutians as a Navy Seabee. He graduated from Ohio State University. He owned Aries Insurance Agency and Aries Management Co., and was a partner with Teamwork Fundraiser Co. Mr. Trudeau was the former president of Gypsies Travel Club, a longtime volunteer at Twin Valley Psychiatric Hospital, a leader with the Boy Scouts of America and a Campfire USA board member. Survivors include his widow; five sons, Michael and his wife, Linda, Greg and his wife, Jeanne, Phillip and his wife, Denise, James and his partner, Gene Bible, and Charles and his wife, Michelle; three daughters, Marie, Martha Donahue and her husband, Hugh, and Laura Weinbrom and her husband, Eric; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends. He was the father of the late Delores Trudeau, and the brother of the late Rene Trudeau, Bernard Trudeau and Paul Trudeau. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 tonight at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road. His funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 386 Buttles Ave. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne.
