<!-- FH = Doak-Howell Funeral Home, 931-684-5011 -->Amelia Jane Threet Williams of Bell Buckle, known to friends and family simply as "Amy", died November 24, 2010 at Glen Oaks Health and Rehabilitation after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Amy, age 69, was the daughter of the late Estil and Ann Elizabeth Hall Threet. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald B. Williams.Amy was employed by Rutherford County Government for most of her adult life. She worked for several years in the County Court Clerk's office and then a year for Murfreesboro Bank and Trust. She was appointed as Rutherford County's Elections Administrator in 1975, where she served until her retirement in 2000. She had also been a member of the Tennessee Association of County Election Officials, serving a term as Treasurer of the statewide organization.She is survived by her sons, Dale B. Williams and his wife Greta, Wayne W. Williams and his wife Donna; grandchildren, Jeremy, Rebecca, Daniel and Hannah Williams all of Bell Buckle. Other survivors include her brother, Kennon Threet of Bell Buckle; sister, Sara Threet of Bowling Green, Kentucky.Services will be conducted by The Reverend Jack Carney at Doak-Howell Funeral Home in Shelbyville on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.
