ALARIE It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Amelia on May 27, 2003, who will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donna, Jan, Gordon; son-in-law Stuart; grandchildren Chris, Ryan, and Clayton. She was a dynamic woman who was furiously independent, always willing to try new adventures. She worked as a teacher and as a devoted mother raised her three children on her own. She loved nature and her beautiful garden. Mom was a creative chef and hostess extraordinare, there wasn't a hobby craft she did not excel at. Above all she cherished her family and friends. Mom was always ready to help others and would always see the best in people. She never believed in quitting and always looked for the positive in every situation. Her faith in God never wavered. Mom's faith, positive outlook never losing hope for a better future and love for her family carried her through several years of courageously battling a devastating illness.
