Graveside service for Alma Nearine Henderson, 87, of Decatur will be today, Jan. 31, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Byron Lakey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Henderson died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 15, 1916, in Morgan County to Arthur Sockwell and Elsie Hightower Sockwell. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Henderson worked for many years as an LPN nurse for Decatur General Hospital, Dr. Greer, Wolverine Tube and Dr. Wilder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Henderson; and her son, Bobby H. Henderson. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Gayle Jackson of Jasper; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Pence Henderson of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and three sisters, Ruby Fox of Decatur, Evelyn Mooney of Fort Worth, Texas, and Rena Hunt of Mitchell, Neb.
