CARTER, ALMA MAY, 89, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2004, at Regency Health Care Center. She was the former Alma May Milby, a native of Grayson County, KY, and a faithful member of Christian Assembly Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Rev. James Elmer Carter. She is survived by four beloved daughters, Elaine McCarty, Joyce Miller, June Kitterman and Carol Hurley; a sister, Nellie Bumann; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Arch L. Heady & Son, Okolona, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and noon-8 p.m. Friday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
