Alma Frances Taylor, 83, DeLand, passed away at her residence on June 10, 2009. She was born in Elkins, WV on December 31, 1925 and came to the area from Morgantown, WV in 1984. Alma loved to read and she loved the Orlando Magic. Survivors include her sons, Leslie Taylor (Bobbi) and Michael Taylor (Lisa), both of DeLand; daughters, Sharon Stanley (Carl), Tappahannock, VA, Robin Buckels (Mike), Ormond Beach and Michelle Cuprill (Hector), DeLand; brothers, Harry Weese (Carol), Phoenix, Arizona and Robert Weese (Mildred), Bridgeport, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in January 2007 by her husband of 63 years, Leo D. Taylor. Visitation will be today (Friday, June 12) from 6-8 p.m. at the Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand with Chaplain David Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens. Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand is in charge of arrangements.
