Obituary of Allison Doyle


DOYLE, Alison. Alison Stanford Doyle, age ninety-two, died peacefully in Ottawa on May 3, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Stephen Stanford and Alice Shea. She was a life resident of Montreal until she and her beloved husband, the late Charles Reynolds Doyle, retired to Ottawa twenty-five years ago. She is survived by her three children, Richard Doyle, Maureen Doyle Muhlstock (David) and Barbara Doyle Duncan (John), and her four grandhchildren; Chandler, Colin and Alison Duncan and Sasha Dechene, and a great-granddaughter Mia Dawe Dechene. Alison is also pre-deceased by her four brothers; Walter Stanford (Gerry), Dr. Ronald Stanford (Veronica), Rev. Maurice Stanford SJ, Rev. Lionel Stanford SJ and her sister Evelyn Stanford Holland (Lonsdale). Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset West, Ottawa. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated in Ottawa on Monday, May 5, 2008 at St. Patrick's Home Chapel, 2865 Riverside Drive at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Shepherd's of Good Hope would be appreciated by the family.
